ABOUT ME

I’m Takanori Ishii, an innovator in Judo. Since 2005, I’ve been contributing to Japan’s National Judo Team, integrating traditional techniques with modern science. I led the introduction of scientific training strategies as the head of data and video analysis system development, resulting in 20 Olympic and 83 World Championship gold medals. I served as Judo Performance Director and a strategic advisor to the head coach. I also created the long-term athlete development plan for the All Japan Judo Federation. Beyond Judo, I’ve held leadership roles in academia and a medical vocational school. Currently, I mentor the national team’s head coach, nurturing future leaders.
